Hot water lines need to be insulated to reduce energy consumption needed to maintain the heat source
The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) increased the minimum thickness of pipe insulation with Standard 90.1.
Most steam systems operate at 212°F and as high as 1200°F. Therefore, any uninsulated components can and will wreak havoc on an industrial steam system.
Supply ducts bring the conditioned air into your building areas. This includes the air your personnel and customers breath, and therefore need to remain as safe and well insulated as possible.
Keep the quality of air inside your building at the highest quality possible with temperature control, heat, dust, bacteria and carbon dioxide control.
Pipe insulation will help prevent the water-vapor from condensing on pipes.
Uninsulated ductwork will leak heated and cooled air which will cost you hundreds more per year on your bills. Energy conservation and cost preventive measures are our forte’.
Our insulation installs will protect all types of refrigeration systems including Freon, ammonia, glycol, brine, etc.
Hot and cold water lines can maintained their temperature without drastic increases in energy output

Keep your fixed costs down and reduce greenhouse gases emitted by all of your pipe and duct systems
Without insulation, the amount of heat that can come off of a mechanical system can throw off the temperature of the entire building
Proper insulation will protect your building and equipment from condensation, mold and personal injury

Commercial kitchens need special insulation for their grease ducts due to the high heat and large quantities of exhaust fumes.
Insulation Materials
What type of insulation material is required will depend on what the service temperature range is of the item to be insulated.
In general, cryogenic applications are items that operated at minus 50 degrees Fahrenheit and below. Refrigeration, cold water, and below ambient temperature applications operate at minus 49 degrees to plus 75 degrees Fahrenheit.
Medium to high-temperature applications ranges between plus 76 degrees to plus 1200 degrees Fahrenheit and refractory applications operate at plus 1200 degrees Fahrenheit and above.
Some of the insulation materials we use include (but are not limited to)
- Cellular insulations (either large or small cell) such as glass, rubber, or foaming agents.
- Fibrous insulations such as rock, wool, mineral wool, or alumina-silica
- Elastomeric (all types)
- Reflective insulation, including foil and low emittance jackets
- Flake insulation, including expanded mica and vermiculite
- Granular insulation, such as molded perlite or calcium silicate
